Opening for Carla Morrison @ Latin Roots Live FREE Concert

Mexican singer-songwriter Carla Morrison is playing the next Latin Roots Live! free concert on Tuesday, October 4th at World Cafe Live. Having started as a true DIY artist, playing the Tijuana underground music scene - with a keyboard, guitar, & loop machine in tow - she first charmed her way into our hearts with her raw remake of Manu Chao's "La Despedida". Soon after, she became a household name with the release of her bittersweet hit single, "Compartir". A few years, and a couple of Latin Grammy awards later, she has amplified her sound into realms we can humbly call 'Rock Star Status'. She regularly performs to dozens of thousands of fans all across Mexico and has gained fans from all across the globe. Her latest album, 'Amor Supremo', has garnered tons of critics' acclaim, earning her comparisons to mainstream artists like Lana Del Rey, Sia, and Adele. She is easily regarded as one of Latin music’s leading independent artists, and this October, Philadelphia will understand why. We are truly blessed to present this incredible artist as part of our Latin Roots Live series (with our partners WXPN), and to finally produce her 1st ever concert here in the City of Brotherly Love.
The all-ages show is being held in Philadelphia at World Cafe Live (3025 Walnut Street) Philadelphia.
Doors are at 7:00 pm; Showtime is 8:00 – 10:30 pm.
Admission is free, however, an RSVP is required.
