Vivian Barton, 1996 - 2004

Ms. Barton graduated from the Curtis Institute of Music, studying with David Soyer. Her diverse musical activities include playing with the Brandenburg Ensemble, Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, and Jupiter Symphony, as well as being Assistant Principal Cellist of Santa Fe Opera and the Opera Company of Philadelphia. She has been invited to attend the Marlboro Music Festival and the International Musicians' Seminar in England.

Ovidiu Marinescu 1998 - 2001

Ovidiu Marinescu, one of the outstanding musicians of his native Romania, was chosen to play at Carnegie Hall for Romanian President Constantinescu on an official visit to the United States. His critically acclaimed first recording "Fiesta Latina" was followed by a recording of the complete Miaskovsky cello works with the Russian Philharmonic Orchestra and pianist Kenneth Boulton released by Cambria. His recording of the Bach Cello Suites, released by Navona Records, has received international critical acclaim.

Mimi Morris 1998 - 1999

A native of Haddonfield New Jersey, cellist Mimi Morris is currently pursuing her doctorate at the University of Michigan where she is a student of Anthony Elliott. Previously she was a member of the Haddonfield and the Reading Symphonies as well as the early music orchestra Pennsylvania Pro-Musica. She has been a member of both the Philadelphia based Herencia string quartet and the Kent State University string quartet. Mimi holds degrees from Rice University and the University of Minnesota and has attended many summer music festivals throughout the United States and Canada. Currently, Mimi is on the faculty of the Flint Institute of Music and she is also enthusiastically beginning studies in Baroque cello.

Charles Forbes 2004 - 2006

Charles Forbes grew up in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and received degrees from Harvard College and Manhattan School of Music. His principal cello teachers were Maurice Eisenberg and Bernard Greenhouse. He also studied cello with Luigi Silva and Pablo Casals, chamber music with Leonard Shure, and conducting with Jonel Perlea. Mr. Forbes has given four solo recitals at Carnegie Recital Hall, and he played for 30 years with the New York Camerata, a chamber group with which he toured widely and recorded several discs. That group commissioned many new works from American composers, including George Crumb’s “Voice of the Whale”, and it was the resident ensemble with the New York-based Affiliate Artists in Wisconsin and Alabama for four seasons. He has also played with the Chancellor and Windsor (Vermont) String Quartets, and in Philadelphia with the Network for New Music, Relache, the Philadelphia Camerata and Orchestra 2001.

Temple University Youth Orchestra 1994 - 1996

Established in 1986, the Center’s string program focuses on the development of superior musical skills in ensemble performance. Instruction is provided by the finest artists/teachers in the region, including members of The Philadelphia Orchestra and professors from Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance and the Curtis Institute of Music.

Abington Symphony Orchestra 1998 - 2000

Music at Abington was founded in 1972 by G. Stanley Powell, Minister of Music Emeritus.  As a concert series, Music at Abington brings outstanding professional musical programming to the Abington community for free.  The series has grown to include annual features of solo and chamber music, choral and instrumental programs, children's concerts and other unique programs all supported through free-will donations and patrons of the concert series.  Music at Abington builds community relationships by offering childcare and public receptions at its programs, and it celebrates and features the community-based ensembles of Abington Presbyterian Church: the Abington Symphony Orchestra and Oratorio Choir in orchestral programs and combined choral works.  The purpose of Music at Abington is to bring quality musical opportunities to the APC and Abington communities and through collaboration and musical excellence to "glorify God and refresh the soul" (-J. S. Bach).

Philadelphia Young Artist / Youth Orchestra 1998 - 2003

The Philadelphia Youth Orchestra organization is the Tri-State region’s premier youth orchestra for gifted, young, classical musicians and one of the oldest and most highly regarded youth orchestra organizations in the United States. For more than 72 years, the Philadelphia Youth Orchestra organization has been providing professional-caliber musical experiences to young instrumentalists, thrilling discriminating audiences in the Greater Philadelphia region and across the globe. The organization has five ensembles: Philadelphia Youth Orchestra (PYO), Philadelphia Young Artists Orchestra (PYAO), Bravo Brass, Philadelphia Region Youth String Music (PRYSM) and Tune Up Philly, an after-school program modeled after Venezuela’s El Sistema. The five ensembles present a full season of concerts each year.

TivaTiva 2006 - 2013

TivaTiva is an artistic collaboration between vocalist/cellist Daniel de Jesus and producer/guitarist Ted Richardson. In his songwriting, Daniel weaves fanciful tales of Saints and the supernatural with stories of self-protection and emotional exploration. With the added talents of great musicians like drummer Darren Keith and multi-instrumentalist Brendan Walsleben, TivaTiva are renowned for their intense, high-energy live performances.

Rasputina 2008 to 2014

The Rasputina group has existed for more than 20(0) years. Melora Creager founded it to meet like-minded young women (excellent cellists that wanted to play rock music and wear historical costumery).  Rasputina is a favorite among Goth fans and Steam punk enthusiasts.
