I performed in The Bearded Ladies Cabaret’s original musical Contradict This! A Birthday Funeral for Flawed Heroes. I wrote several songs, only 2 of which were selected for the show; Daddy Whitman and Poeta de la Barba. The songs here are all the pieces I proposed to the bearded ladies cabaret for consideration.

Contradict This! A Birthday Funeral for Flawed Heroes was commissioned by the University of Pennsylvania Libraries for Whitman at 200: Art and Democracy, a series of cultural events marking Walt Whitman’s 200 birthday. Major support for Whitman at 200 artistic commissions has been provided by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
